How Sujit Choudhry Became a World Renowned Constitutional Expert and Advisor

When it comes to matters of the law and politics, it would be a crime to wrap up a discussion without the mention of one Sujit Choudhry. With other two decades of experience in the field, Mr. Sujit Choudhry has made a name for himself as a brilliant and strategic constitutional expert and advisor who gives the best advice based on the available variables.

It is because of this that he has a hand in historical constitutional processes in countries such as Yemen, Ukraine, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Nepal, Jordan, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia just to mention a few. He worked hard through four prestigious universities to ensure that he was always on top of his game before he started working. He first attended McGill University between 1988 and 1992 before joining the University of Toronto between 1992 and 1994 where he studied Bachelor of Arts in Law.

He wasn’t done yet because, after University of Oxford, Sujit Choudhry went ahead and joined the University of Toronto to pursue Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) between 1994 and 1996 and then finished with a Master of Laws (LL.M.) which he attained from Harvard Law School. Sujit Choudhry started off as a law clerk in the Supreme Court of Canada for a year before leaving in 1997. He then joined the University of Toronto faculty of law as an assistant professor of law for the next five years that followed. He proceeded to hold a couple of positions in different universities before landing at the University of California, Berkeley – School of Law as the I.
