Brazil is one of the nations that have produced significant sports personalities over the centuries. Although footballers dominate the nation’s sport, the name Terpins have also heated the headlines. Rodrigo, Michael, and their father Jack Terpins have made significant contributions for quite some time.
Born in a sporting family, Rodrigo had the best mentorship and motivation in following his passion for rallying sport. His father Jack Terpins was a successful basketball player, who also held several positions in the Latin America Jewish Congress that made the name of the family grow among the Hebrew. Jack believed that sport is an ideal way of preparing the future leader. But more interesting Michael Terpins is also a veteran rally driver familiar with the Brazilian rally industry. Also, Rodrigo’s childhood interaction with the cars sparked his interest in rally sport.
Rodrigo made a record in his racing career when he took part in the recent Sertoes Rally with his partner Fabricio Manchiana. This event was the 22nd edition of the Sertoes Rally that spanned a distance of 2,600 Kilometer, covering two states and divided into several stages. Ricardo managed to finish 8th out of 38 teams, in a race that marked history in Brazilian off-road race that got the attention of several sponsors. Check out Terra for more.
Like his father, Ricardo has interest in entrepreneurship. His education at the University of Sail Hilaire gave him the business and corporate skill that came to be valuable. The interest in business was incubated and perfected by the 16 years of experience working with Loja Marisa. For almost two decades he managed to rise to the position of the company’s president before he voluntarily resigned in 2007.
In 2008, Rodrigo combined his skills and passion for forming his own company, famously known as T5 Participacoes. Though he plays the primary executive role in the company, Rodrigo’s career revolves majorly around rallies. The business has managed to stage some of the significant rally events in the country. For Rodrigo, his career would not be a success without the support of his family more so his brother Michael. The two brothers still believe there is still much that can be done to improve the rally sport in Brazil. However, all these achievements require discipline, patience, and experience.
